Henderson People Management Services was founded by Neil Henderson.
Neil, who is a Fellow of the Charterered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD), has extensive experience in HR consulting and change/ transformation processes at a senior HR management level, particularly in the Higher Education sector.
In 2011/2012, Neil led the implementation of a major change programme at University of the Arts London (UAL). Click here for a testimonial from UAL.
Neil has worked with a project management methodology for a number of years and has used clear project management principles in all change programmes he has been involved in.
In the last ten years, he has worked in the Higher Education sector as Assistant/ Deputy HR Director at two very different Universities - University College London and UAL. His remit has involved modernising and enhancing internal HR services based on the business partner model, as well as assisting both Universities during significant periods of change and restructuring, predominantly driven by the need to increase efficiencies and reduce head count/ costs.
He has been involved in operating as a senior level consultant/ advisor to the most senior levels of these organisations and in local government, and from doing so he has developed a broad understanding of the strategic and business needs required to assist organisations perform efficiently in the current economic environment.
Neil's approach is a thoroughly pragmatic one, based on many years’ experience of working in organisations where things have gone wrong and where they have gone right. He has a very open and honest style and seeks to engage and involve staff at all levels - but he also has a strength and determination to drive solutions through that have a direct impact on operational and organisational efficiency whilst still engaging staff.
He has a strong understanding of many theoretical models and uses elements of different models to fit a particular situation.
